A special evening
The International Multilingual Users Group (IMUG) is hosting a special event on 26 March in San Jose, CA from 7pm to raise funds for Translators without Borders (TWB). We would love you and your colleagues and friends to attend.
With the theme "Translating for Humanity: Using language to change the face of humanitarian aid", the evening promises a great opportunity to network, hear inspiring stories, spoil yourself with silent auction items and find out more about TWB’s ground-breaking approach to humanitarian crisis management.
As a supporter of TWB, you’ll know that we provide translations to support humanitarian work around the world. You believe, as we do, that access to information in local languages is a critical element of an effective humanitarian or crisis response. And you’ll agree with our mantra that communication IS aid.
IMUG is a forum for globalization, localization, internationalization and translation professionals, and as such TWB’s work is very relevant to its members. TWB stands to benefit enormously from this fund-raising opportunity, and we hope that you will help us to make it as successful as possible.
More details are on the invitation. You can RSVP here, or simply email us to let us know you’ll be coming. |
