We always knew that our Words of Relief project would fill a gap in the crisis response community. But we have been truly amazed by the support and encouragement we have received since our pilot program started in Kenya earlier this year. The project aims to translate 15 world languages (the pilot focuses on Swahili and Somali) and disseminating them before crises occur.
We are all very excited about the potential for this project to make a significant difference to thousands of lives. Our project manager, Phoebe Maina (pictured, speaking at AidEx 2014 Africa) has posted a blog describing the progress we are making in the pilot, the agencies we are engaging with and the positive feedback we have received.
